Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is the main airport serving Salt Lake City, Utah. It is a major hub for Delta Air Lines and a key gateway to the Western United States. The airport is located about 4 miles west of downtown Salt Lake City and offers both domestic and international flights.

SLC underwent a significant renovation, with a new terminal that opened in 2020, improving passenger experience with modernized facilities, expanded gates, and more efficient security processes. The airport is known for its proximity to popular outdoor destinations, including ski resorts in the Wasatch Mountains and national parks like Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Portland International Airport (PDX) in Oregon, commonly known as "PDX," opened in 1940, replacing the older Swan Island Municipal Airport. Initially designed as a modest regional airport, it expanded rapidly after World War II, with new terminals and runways added to accommodate increasing air traffic. The airport grew into an international hub in the 1950s and 60s, with its first international flight to Canada in 1967. Over the decades, PDX has undergone multiple renovations, including major terminal expansions in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as modernization projects in the 2000s.

Today, PDX is known for its efficient operations, customer-friendly amenities, and distinct regional culture, frequently topping rankings as one of the best airports in the U.S. It serves millions of passengers annually, offering both domestic and international flights.
